Mr. Morale

Description

This portrait depicts Kendrick Lamar – one of the most influential sources of inspiration in my artistic journey. His music, his language, and the way he engages with complex questions of identity and society are deeply reflected in my work – sometimes directly, often in subtle ways.

With “Mr. Morale”, I pay tribute not only to the artist himself, but also to the power he has awakened in me to find my own form of expression.

I spent a total of 28 hours painting this oil piece – an intense, almost meditative process of engaging with a person whose art has profoundly shaped the way I think and feel.
